We designed our product with a composite shaft to absorb shock and protect the transducer both on the water and while trailering.
That depends on the shape and size of the cover. In most cases, it will not but with our quick-disconnect function, the FORESIGHT unit can be easily removed and stored on the deck to allow the cover to fit.
